Our Pepi!

Pepi, is a small poodlemix. He is since Christmas 1999 our newest family member. We removed him from the animal home of Freiburg and we are lucky with him, because he is a lovely nice dog.
Originally he originates from Spain and is already 5 years old. Its special flag is his missing tail and he look similarly like a little bear - some say also as lamb .
It behaves very good, remains already times alone at home, barks very rarely, actually only, if the birds strike too much with the wing.
But now we are complete for our little home, because the turtles are breaking their hibernation in the winter garden and make for him now competition with his Humans. But he must resign himself to the fact that now the half garden is reserved during summer for the turtles. The time goes by and he gets some favorite food until he knows it.

Pepi is visiting together with us now the dog-school.
There he is to get more self-esteem and to learn obedience!
Additionally the dog-school is very funny!

The first year together!

Our Pepi came totally derty and with felted hair to us. This was still the simplest and soon we has bathed and brushed him and let him sheared in the spring.
More badly however was its health status. The Prostata was so strongly increased that only one castration promised remedy. A small tumor at the lid grew and should be removed likewise. Also the teeth had a reorganization necessarily. All of this should be operated in one time. But with beginning of the narcose Pepi wanted to stop simply with breathing and in such a way became the operation somewhat hectically. The veterinary surgeon considers the dog substantially older, than 7 years! An ELECTROCARDIOGRAM in the summer brought surprisingly a quite good result.
During an x-ray examination the veterinary surgeon stated the fact that the poor dog have a dreadful Spine, and he suffers some times and he did not go stairs, rises or so. Sometimes we must give him a medicine if he has pain in the back. Sometimes it was nearly impossible living together with pepi in one room, because he had bad vibrations if he got normal fodder, all the same whether it concerned thereby special fodder, drying or wet etc.. Now he gets daily a portion of Porridge with few dog fodder. And it is successfully.
During the investigation for inoculation the TA heard noises on the lung, which he want after-examine some time. Pepi gets now draining means. The ulcer at the eye came again, a new at the Zahnfleich to it. Also here a further investigation is to bring clarity.
Some will now think that we have only problems with Pepi. That is not correct! he is up to the health, for which he can do nothing, the best dog, which one can only introduce oneself. He wants to make all right for his humans and is very obedient therefore. The he was the best one in the dog school! And the most important is! We love him heartily and everything will do, so that he is in the future still well a long while well.
