Our Budgerigars!

Our birds have a cage depending upon type. Naturally cages are too small. Therefore our birds enjoy some hours free flight each day. They do not fly so much, they sit mostly on the curtain staff and play together. We can let the two types fly only separately, because the Agaporniden always makes hunt for legs from budgerigars. The budgerigars are not anxious, they flight over our head already very close.

Actually we wanted never again budgerigars. When however a woman planned to give her 2 budgerigars "liberty", we became weak. That were Lara and Timmy. A few weeks later in a newspaper was announced a larger cage, but with one budgerigar living inside. We bought him and now with Bubi they were three. During a bird breed exhibition a young, impudent budgerigar presented himself so well and Pooh(number 4) became Bubis best friend.

To get a swarm more budgerigars were needed, and in such a way we brought two further young birds and now we have with Gipsy and Tweety in the meantime six.
The swarm was now complete and so is it now to also remain!!!!!!! Tame are our birds however only with empty cups, i.e. if their favourite grains went out. To our large joy the fellows are completely fearless. Because the cage will be to small anyway, they fly around freely in the living room. A large tree for climbing, a wrought-iron curtain-staff and two large cages are enough as landing strips completely. Our budgerigars do not need toys, they are daily busy with their socialization and maintains their self-chosen partnership with pleasure.
